I have tightened the timing belt to tight before and trashed the seal for the oil pump. You do that by attaching a cooling system pressure testor, which is basically a pump that attached where the radiator cap goes. A main shaft seal is used to prevent coolant from leaking from the pump housing. I looked underneath and I have a coolant dripping out of my timing belt cover. 1A Auto shows you a common problem and fix that can cure low coolant even though it appears you are not leaking coolant on to the ground.
